I didn't get a bet to participate this week because it has been sooooooooooo hectic, around here. So imagine my surprise when I was catching up on google reader and she had chosen my entrance HERE from last week for this week's "YOURS". Go check out all of this weeks participants.

I've been doing so much baking lately (I detest baking), that it was SOOOOO nice to be able to really cook again. I had four burners wealthy at once on my little pooey stove and my sister-in-law kept saying how she likes to take care of me cook, which made me happy. That and my Le Creuset, of course. :)


So why all the cooking? I'm making meals for friends. I'm persuaded by now you all know I like to do this. I love to help others and this is my way of doing it. And the best part is I get to make dishes I've wanted to for a while but haven't had the turn. It is so much easier for me to cook for a family instead of just two. So it's fun for me as well. And I loooove braising this pass of year, so it couldn't have been easier.

Well this time I'm making meals for Lauren and her not up to par mommy who really had a bad accident and my good friend Karen who just had a smashing baby girl.

So here's the setup:

-Chicken braised stew in white wine
-Mellifluous potato biscuits
-Braised chicken with lemon and olives
-Ale-braised sausage with peppers and onions
-Mashed garlic red potatoes
-Creamy mushroom and beef stroganoff
-Kerchief pasta with caramelized squash and herbs
-Cranberry and orange muffins
-Blueberry struesel muffins

I've been looking for a elevated excuse to make these. And this is a good of an excuse as ever. I'm just not sure how I did all that in the span of a yoke hours!?! See...this is why I like cooking so much better. Quick!!
