Jet Airways, India’s top sneakingly airline terminated the services of around 800 flight attendants that were recently recruited as part of the planned development programme. The airline had planned for a continuous growth in the domestic aviation furnish and the implementation of the first phase of its international expansion programme. However the domestic market has declined by twofold digit figures in recent months.

Jet Airways said in a statement that the aviation enterprise in India, a $6 billion turnover industry, is expected to lose $2 billion in 2008-09. “The pecuniary viability of the industry has been severely affected by the record high fuel prices and most recently due to the emergency of the financial markets globally and the downturn in traffic,” the company said in a proclamation.

Jet said it expects to cut more jobs. Its announcement follows a recent cost-scathing alliance with India’s second largest private airline, Kingfisher. However, the gathering clarified that its decision to lay off around 800 personnel was not as a result of its alliance with Kingfisher Airlines. “We care to clarify that the reconsideration of our operations has been ongoing for some time now and this adjustment in personnel numbers did not outcome from the planned alliance with Kingfisher Airlines,” Jet Airways said.

The vigour department has mandated that EMS services carry a secondary airway.

This is mandatory training required for all paramedics that must be completed prior to using this new airway. Available for check out are DVD / CD from your supervisor or please see the Echo on office. We will also be placing DVD/CD at each outlying station. Also included in your packet is a 10 question exam that must be completed and turned into the on-role supervisor, Echo (C. Spychalski or C. Goddard) or Foxtrot in order to receive merit for this training. The deadline to complete and turn in exam is October 31, 2008. The exam must be turned in by this day or you will be unacceptable to work until training is complete. You can also fax your completed test to 301-1485.
